Production Supervisor – Work 32 Hours and get paid for 40

Keystone Industries, the largest nail coatings manufacturer in the world has an amazing opportunity for a Supervisor: work 3 days for a total of 32 hours and get paid for 40 hours plus full company benefits.If you work 12 hours on Saturday, 12 hours on Sunday and one 8-hour day during the week,we will pay you for 40 hours.

Available Schedule:

7:00 pm – 7:00 am – Saturdays and Sundays

Plus,one 8-hour day during the week (M-F)

Traditional 3rd Shift Supervisor: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am (Sunday – Thursday)

Position Overview and Expectations

Full shift supervisory responsibility across all departments as assigned. Hands on supervision includes but is not limited to safety, personnel training / coaching, productivity, quality, site security, etc.

Essential Job Functions

The Production Supervisor will:

  • Train new employees in process operations and production equipment operation according to SOP and batch card instructions
  • Assign work to chemical operators, as necessary
  • Hands-on supervision of pharmaceutical / chemical operators in assigned work area
  • Oversee the manufacturing/packaging processes as required
  • Routinely work with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and waste
  • Facilitate the proper handling and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste and material
  • Review and approve batch cards upon completion
  • Responsible for the ongoing training of operators and related documentation
  • Responsible for safety and housekeeping of the facility and area/s assigned
  • Ensure department equipment and facilities are properly maintained
  • Order spare parts, etc. for equipment, as requested by mechanics and/or other managers
  • Assist in overall continuous improvement processes in the areas of quality, safety and production
  • Responsible for training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures
  • Responsible for performance evaluations of Production team members and for providing training and development opportunities for those inside the department

  • Maintains the highest level of housekeeping
  • Attends all required scheduled Health, Safety and Environmental training sessions
  • Participates in required Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives and programs
  • Performs required administrative functions related to Health, Safety and Environmental functions such as completing forms, checklists and log sheets

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a production supervisory or managerial role
  • Production Operator experience
  • Two to five years’ experience working in a Pharma or Chemical production environment
  • Demonstrated mechanical ability
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team –
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees – engage and motivate, enhancing performance
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills – ability to interface and communicate/collaborate at all levels internally and externally
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Familiarity with company specific Quality System procedures and requirements as they pertain to job duties
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FDA, cGMP, OSHA, EPA standards and requirements
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office programs

Desired Skills

  • Manufacturing Experience
  • Previous experience working in pharmaceutical or chemical industry
  • ERP/MRP software experience

Education/Certifications:

  • High School education or equivalent and/or equivalent work experience

  • Physical Demands:Employee is required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bend; kneel and climb. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 50 on a daily basis. In addition, must be able to maneuver and move 30 to 55-gallon drums or up to 450 pounds utilizing the proper drum material handling equipment provided.
  • Work Environment:This position requires one to work both in an office, warehouse and production environment. There is a moderate level of noise, heat, cold, dust and dirt. Employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment and chemicals and will be exposed to varying temperatures.
